§ Mr. George Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) which hospitals in Scotland are designated to receive cases of acute hepatitis B; and what is the geographical catchment area for each one;
(2) if he will list, for each of the last five years, the number of acute hepatitis B cases admitted to each hospital in Scotland which is designated to handle such cases.
§ Mr. John MacKayHospitals are not specially designated for the reception of such cases. Figures are not readily available for 1979, but the numbers of discharges from Scottish hospitals with a primary or secondary diagnosis of viral hepatitis B for the years 1980 to 1983 are given in the table.
