asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what percentage of electricity output in Scotland came from nuclear power in the year before the coal dispute started; and what percentage is now coming from such stations.

For the 12-month period prior to November 1983, 39 per cent. of electricity output in Scotland came from nuclear power; and for the period from November 1983 to August 1984, the latest date for which published data is available, the figure was 36 per cent.
