Mr. Renton

My right hon. and learned Friend indicated to the House on 9 November the conclusion we reached concerning the recent elections in Nicaragua. We declined an invitation by the Supreme Electoral Commission of Nicaragua to send official observers. Her Majesty's ambassador during the normal exercise of his duties followed the election process and was afforded normal facilities.
