asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps he is taking to control glue sniffing among schoolchildren.

As part of the Government's policy for tackling solvent misuse among young people, the Department issued in June a safety in education bulletin which included advice about solvent misuse. Copies of the bulletin have been sent to local education authorities for distribution to schools and colleges.
