HL Deb 18 May 1984 vol 451 c1666WA
Baroness Jeger

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What progress has been made towards settling the Cyprus problem in accordance with the Resolution of the UN Security Council.

Baroness Young

Little progress has unfortunately been made towards settling the Cyprus problem following the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 541 last November. On the 1lth May the Security Council passed a further resolution, number 550 (for which we voted), which reaffirms the mandate of the United Nations Secretary-General to pursue his mission of good offices. We will continue to give him our fullest support in his efforts.
