§ Mr. MellorMy right hon. and learned Friend has no direct responsibility for prisons in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. These dependencies of the Crown are responsible for their own internal affairs, including the 97W administration of their prison services. Information on these matters, other than that obtained as a result of informal contracts or requests for advice, is not therefore collected or retained on a routine basis.
