On 23 March I visited Liverpool where I met representatives of the Merseyside council for voluntary service and discussed with them their responsibilities for the administration of various youth training scheme, community programme and voluntary projects programme projects in Merseyside. I also met some of their youth training scheme trainees. I received some written and verbal representations about the operation of the youth training scheme in the north-west. I then took part in a radio programme for Radio City, Liverpool
