asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the placement rate of skillcentre trainees in the west midlands region.

The latest information available shows that 54 per cent. of trainees in west midlands skillcentres who completed training opportunities scheme courses in August 1983 were in employment three months after the end of their courses, including 39 per cent. who found employment using the skills taught on their courses.
