Mr. Proctor

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) if he will set out in the Official Report a comparison of the prices of the main foodstuffs within the United Kingdom and on world markets at the latest convenient date;

(2) if he will set out in the Official Report the level of taxes and levies on the main foodstuffs imported into the United Kingdom.

Mr. Proctor

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the total United Kingdom and European Economic Community stock levels for each major foodstuff, including those produced in the European Economic Community at the latest available date.

Corresponding information about the cost of export refunds paid on sales to the Soviet Union is not readily available and, in respect of United Kingdom exports., can be provided only at disproportionate cost, as indicated in the reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Southend, East on 11 July 1983 at column 293.
