Mr. Proctor

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what sums of money by way of taxes on food imports into the United Kingdom have been paid by Her Majesty's Treasury to the European Economic Community in each of the years 1976 to 1983.

Payments to the European Community of agricultural levies collected in the United Kingdom on imports from non-member states are given in the following table:
