asked the Secretary of State for Transport whether creation of additional car parking places at stations in outer London boroughs, currently supported by Greater London council grants as part of its strategic traffic policy, would be continued by his Department if the Greater London council is abolished as proposed.

The LRT Bill, presently in Committee, specifically provides—in schedule 2, paragraph 5—wide powers for LRT to provide car parks for users of any public transport services.
