HC Deb 26 June 1984 vol 62 cc417-8W
Ms. Harman

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many residents in the Church road private old people's home, Erdington, Birmingham, were sponsored by his Department; and how much had been paid in sponsorship to the home in respect of its residents in the last 12 months.

Dr. Boyson

[pursuant to his reply, 15 June 1984, c. 595]: I understand that the Church road home opened in February 1984. Information on any residents in receipt of supplementary benefit who left before the home closed in May is not available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. There were four residents in receipt of supplementary benefit when the home closed: weekly payments to them totalled £325.
