§ 41. Mr. Dykesasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will assess the defence capability implications of the proposed acquisition of British Aerospace by another United Kingdom company or companies.
§ Mr. PattieConsideration of any definite proposals resulting from the current discussions between British Aerospace and other companies will be the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry. We will assess the implications for defence of any such proposals in that context.
