§ 40. Mr. Peter Bruinvelsasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the additional allowance for service men working in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. StanleyThe Armed Forces Pay Review Body has said in its latest report that it wishes to consider the continuing justification for Northern Ireland pay. No change could be made without Government approval. In the meantime Northern Ireland pay at the rate of £2.15 a day is continuing.
