§ 20. Mr. Tom Coxasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he last met the chairman of the Electricity Council to discuss the effect on people on low incomes and in receipt of benefit of the council's policy on disconnection.
§ Dr. BoysonMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy and my noble Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Energy meet the chairman of the Electricity Council from time to time as necessary. In addition, officials from the Department of Health and Social Security and of Energy are in frequent contact with officials of the Electricity Council about ways of helping people on low incomes to avoid disconnection of their electricity supply.
