§ Mr. FowlerI published last month consultative proposals, which resulted directly from the work of my inquiry into provision for retirement, to give people leaving occupational pension schemes the right to a transfer value; and I hope to announce my conclusions on personal portable pensions shortly. The inquiry aims to complete the remainder of its work by the late autumn.
