§ Mr. John PattenOur current publicity campaign was launched by my right hon. Friend on 22 February. Donor cards and supporting publicity material have been distributed to health authorities, general practitioners and dispensing pharmacists, and are available on request to other organisations, community groups and individuals. Over 9 million new cards have been distributed since the start of the campaign. During March advertisements encouraging people to sign and carry a donor card were shown on all independent television channels and in the national press. We are constantly seeking new opportunities for promoting the scheme.
