§ Mr. DunnThe number of passes gained by candidates at GCE summer examinations in Russian are given in the following table below. The number of teachers who were teaching Russian in maintained secondary schools in England and Wales were estimated to have been about 300 in 1977. Information is not avaialble about the numbers of teachers in other years or of teachers in England only.
