§ Mr. DunnA school meals census conducted by the Department in May 1979 showed that 3,500 meals were provided free to pupils. In October 1982, the latest date for which figures are available, the number was 4,606. Comparable figures for June 1983 are not available in the Department and I suggest the hon. Member consults the LEA.
