§ Sir Bernard Braine
asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether any decision has yet been reached regarding the research activities of the British Antarctic survey in South Georgia.

§ Mr. Brooke
The British Antarctic survey will continue its research activities on Bird island, South Georgia. The future use by the survey of other facilities in South Georgia is under active consideration.
