§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsI have today laid before Parliament the Government's response to the Committee's report. I have also written to the chairman of the Committee with some observations on the way in which this particular inquiry was undertaken. I have suggested that improvements need to be made in the way that evidence is taken in the future and have offered to consider with the Committee how this might be achieved. I have placed a copy of my letter in the Library.
