HC Deb 18 December 1984 vol 70 c132W
Mrs. Dunwoody

asked the Secretary of State for Transport how many people have been killed by lorries in Greater London in each of the last five years.

Mr. Ridley

It is not possible to say how many fatalities have arisen from direct collisions with lorries. However, the following data are available:

Fatalities in Greater London in accidents involving lorries
1982 1983
Lorry drivers 1 1
Others (including pedestrians) 67 55

Figures for earlier years could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
