§ Mrs. ChalkerOur policy is to encourage an support local lorry management measures where they are justified. Policy on this matter was set out in my Department's circular 2/82 "Lorry controls." It is against those criteria that we would judge the case for continuing the present night-time Archway lorry ban if, as proposed, the Secretary of State assumes responsibility for that part of the Al to which the current ban applies.
