§ The Attorney-GeneralThe Crown has granted the indemnity under its common law power, but Parliament is being asked to make token provision in the Consolidated Fund Bill in respect of the contingent liability assumed under the indemnity. Any payments under the indemnity would require further provision in a subsequent Consolidated Fund Act.
