asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for reports from each chief constable concerned to provide details of the number of police injured since 9 April dealing with the current miners' dispute.

The following numbers of police officers have been injured, in the period between 9 April and 25 April inclusive, in dealing with events arising from the miners' dispute:
