§ Mr. Giles ShawThe purpose of the Coal Firing Scheme is to assist companies wishing to switch from oil or gas to coal-fired equipment. As the Notes for applicants for support under the Scheme indicate, projects involving less than 100 per cent. use of coal will be considered, but 417W in most cases it is unlikely that a project involving less than 75 per cent. total burn (on thermal basis) of coal will be acceptable.
