§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will publish in the Official Report a list of the sub-underwriters in the Britoil issue and their respective sub-underwriting participations.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithI have no specific knowledge of the sub-underwriters or their respective involvement in the sub-underwriting of the Britoil Offer for Sale. I understand that the underwriters and brokers to the offer regard as matters of commercial confidence the identity of the institutions and bodies whose participation as sub-underwriters they individually secured. I believe that the sub-underwriters were some hundreds in number.
