HC Deb 12 April 1984 vol 58 c362W
Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his reply of 8 March, Official Report, column 712, which companies make the cloth for protective clothing for use in chemical attacks against British service personnel; which company makes up the cloth into the protective clothing; and which organisation is responsible for selling the protective clothing overseas.

Mr. Lee

It is not the policy to name the MOD's suppliers without specific mutual agreement. The manufacturer is responsible for selling protective clothing overseas, subject to obtaining the necessary export licence as required by the Export of Goods (Control) Order 1981.
