§ Mr. HeseltineAs part of the search for economy in Government I have decided that there should be an efficiency audit of the Defence Accounts Organisation Coopers and Lybrand Associates has been appointed to carry out the work. The audit is part of the programme of work designed to improve management within the Ministry of Defence. Its aims will be to determine the scope for securing greater value for money through changes in organisation and methods, in standards of service provided and in constraints imposed.
