HL Deb 12 April 1984 vol 450 c1316WA
Lord Melchett

asked Her Majesty's Government: Whether the annual report to be compiled under the requirements of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora for 1984, will record all trade in specimens covered by the Convention with all other parties to the Convention as well as with all non-party states.

Lord Skelmersdale

The United Kingdom's annual report for 1984 under the requirements of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) will record trade in CITES specimens with all states except those which are members of the European Community. Collectively, the annual reports of the 10 EC member states will contain statistics of all trade in CITES specimens between the Community and the rest of the world.
