HC Deb 06 April 1984 vol 57 c672W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Prime Minister how many copies of the printed version of the United Nations world programme of action concerning disabled persons have been obtained for use by Government Departments; what action she is taking to ensure that the policies and programmes of the Government conform with the world programme; and if she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

This document only recently became available in its final printed form, and we have obtained over 700 copies to ensure a wide distribution to interested bodies including relevant Government Departments. Copies have been placed in the Libraries of the House. The aims and recommendation contained in the world programme broadly reflect current policies in this country as they affect disabled people.
