HC Deb 04 April 1984 vol 57 c558W
59. Mr. Dykes

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is satisfied with the progress made in selling council houses to sitting tenants in the outer London boroughs.

Sir George Young

My right hon. Friend continues to take up those aspects of performance by local authorities in implementing the right to buy which he considers give cause for concern. A list of those authorities, including outer London boroughs, with which my Department has been in contact of right-to-buy progress was given in answer to my hon. Friend the Member for Staffordshire, Moorlands (Mr. Knox) on 26 January at column 656–66. If my hon. Friend has a particular problem in mind I should be grateful if he would write to me.
