HC Deb 03 April 1984 vol 57 c508W
Mr. Canavan

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what was the cost to public funds of the functions held on 28 March to launch the booklet celebrating the 100th sitting of the Northern Ireland Assembly; why he incurred such expenditure; and under what heading of public expenditure it comes.

Mr. Prior

I understand from the Clerk to the Assembly that the total cost to public funds for the functions held on 28 March was approximately £1,000. The Assembly wished to mark its 100th session and to publicise the work carried out since its inception. The cost falls to the Northern Ireland Assembly Vote.
