My right hon. Friend received by hand on 8 October a letter dated 5 October from the executive committees of the student union of the Chinese university of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong university students' union, the Hong Kong polytechnic students' union and the United Kingdom federation of Hong Kong students. My right hon. Friend's private secretary replied on her behalf on 19 October.
