§ 38. Mr. Spenceasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will ensure that pension uprating in the autumn reflects the inflation rate at the time.
§ Dr. BoysonThe Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1983 provides that pensions will be uprated in line with the actual level of inflation at May of each year. Any price increases this autumn will automatically be taken into account in determining the level of pensions uprating for 1984.
