§ Mr. John PattenFollowing discussions with the Food Manufacturers' Federation, all the interested bodies were 67W consulted about draft proposals to implement a voluntary code of practice designed to secure, in a manner appropriate to the circumstances in the United Kingdom, the aim and principles of the WHO code. Most of the bodies consulted expressed broad satisfaction with the draft proposals. Following further discussions with the Food Manufacturers' Federation the draft proposals have been amended in the light of the consultation and I shall be making an announcement shortly about implementation.
