§ Mr. Home Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the progress of the Tranent and Musselburgh bypass project.
§ Mr Allan StewartWork will start on stage I (Tranent) in early summer 1983 and on stage II (Musselburgh) by the end of the year if the statutory procedures for each can be satisfactorily concluded. The construction work is scheduled for completion in the financial year 1986–87 to coincide with Lothian regional council's programme for its section of the new road.
