Mr. Foulkes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what are the cancer registrations aged nought to 19 years in Scotland and the United Kingdom from 1971 to 1981 inclusive; and what this represents as a rate per 100,000 population.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the pattern of distribution of all cancers in all age groups in each year from 1972 to 1982, relating incidence to the smallest identifiable area, ward, constituency, or district council area and where any identifiable clusters appeared in any part of Scotland in any year.

The information asked for is voluminous and I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the latest published statistics on cancer registration in Scotland for the years 1963 to 1977. A later publication in this series is in course of preparation.
