§ Mr. Whitneyasked the Secretary of State for Employment when he next expects to meet the European Economic Community Employment Ministers in order to discuss the draft European Economic Community fifth directive.
§ Mr. WaddingtonThe European Community draft fifth directive forms part of the Community's programme to harmonise company law and is a matter for my right hon. and noble Fiend the Secretary of State for Trade. My Department's responsibilities are limited to the draft articles containing proposals related to employee participation, and I am not aware of any plans for these articles to be discussed within European Community machinery involving Employment Ministers.
