HC Deb 08 June 1982 vol 25 c38W
Mr. Dover

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he has plans for further industrial relations legislation in the near future.

Mr. Waddington

The Employment Bill is still before Parliament and it would be premature to speculate now on possible future legislation. But, as my right hon. Friend made clear on Third Reading on 19 May—[Vol. 24, c. 400]—if the trade unions try the patience of the public too far, they will build up an irresistible pressure for further legislation.
