HC Deb 09 February 1982 vol 17 cc338-9W
54. Miss Joan Lestor

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what factors he is taking into account in his review of the married women's household duties test.

Mr. Rossi

Among the factors which are being taken into account are the recommendations in the July 1980 report of the national insurance advisory committee, representations received from individuals and groups, the need for fairness to all those claiming the non-contributory invalidity pension, and the cost and staffing implications of any changes. I would also refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Barking (Miss Richardson) on 26 January.—[Vol. 16, c.333–34].
