HC Deb 09 February 1982 vol 17 c339W
55. Mr. loan Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is now able to state what action is to be taken to increase the death grant.

Mr. Rossi

No, Sir. I have nothing to add to my reply to the hon. Member for Islington, Central (Mr. Grant) on 25 January .—[Vol. 16, c.276].

60. Mr. Gwilym Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to complete his consideration of the arrangements for paying death grant; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Rossi

I am not yet in a position to say when the Government's review of death grant arrangements will be completed. I would not anticipate a long delay, and I will make a statement as soon as I can usefully do so.
