HC Deb 06 December 1982 vol 33 cc367-8W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on what basis, and on what particular occasions in the last 12 months, officials in his Department have advised on the production of television programmes simulating United Nations institutions on disarmament.

Mr. Hurd

In July 1982 Granada Television asked the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for advice on the simulation by sixth form students in the Manchester area of the second United Nations Special Session on disarmament. An official from the arms control and disarmament research unit, which has responsibility for publicising United Nations disarmament efforts, visited Manchester on two occasions to give this advice.
