Mr. Concannon asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what are the results of his inquiry into possible proscription of the Ulster Defence Association.

Mr. Prior: I am keeping this matter under close review. But all those who break the law are liable to prosecution, regardless of the organisation, if any, to which they belong. In recent months the RUC has brought charges against considerable numbers of Loyalists as well as Republicans.
