§ Mr. Ray Powell asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what, if any, was the increase of imported ultra-heat treatment milk from 6 October 1980 to 6 October 1981; and what steps he is taking to ensure the imports are monitored.
467W§ Mr. Buchanan-Smith: Detailed import statistics are not yet available for the period referred to by the hon. Member. However, my Department does have arrangements for monitoring imports of milk, and it has also sought, in conjunction with local authorities, to ensure that such imports comply with our public health regulations.
