§ Mr. Waldegrave: No estimate is yet available; the size of the 1981–82 advanced further education pool was determined in accordance with the Government's overall expenditure plans. The March 1981 White Paper—Cmnd. 8175—assumed that institutions would admit as many students as they could consistent with their academic judgement.
