§ Mr. Christopher Price asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will set out in the Official Report, for each United Kingdom university, the preliminary returns of student numbers for 1981—82 forwarded on 23 October, together with the target numbers recommended by the University Grants Committee.
§ Mr. Waldegrave: The Department has not yet received any figures from the University Grants Committee of student numbers for 1981–82. Preliminary figures will be available shortly. The University Grants Committee has not recommended any target numbers for 1981–82 to universities.
