Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the times at which each meal is served, and the menu for each, on a typical day at Wandsworth prison.

Mr. Mayhew:

The service of meals at Wandsworth prison begins at the following times:

Breakfast 7.30 am
Dinner 11.30 am
Tea (Monday to Friday) 4.45 pm
(Saturday-Sunday) 3.45 pm
Supper 7.30 pm

The menu for each meal on a typical day is:

Breakfast

  • Porridge
  • Boiled Eggor
  • Fried Bacon and Fried Bread
  • Tea, Bread and margarine

Dinner

  • Soup and Bread Roll
  • Baked Fish or
  • Chicken Pie or
  • Beefburgers and Yorkshire Pudding Chipped Potatoes
  • Peas, Cabbage
  • Bread Pudding or
  • Fruit Sponge
  • Custard Sauce

Tea
