HC Deb 19 October 1981 vol 10 c64W
Sir David Price

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to be able to give his permission for the establishment of a school of chiropody at Southampton to serve the Wessex health region.

Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg:

Decisions on whether or not to approve schools of chiropody are a matter for the Privy Council acting on recommendations from the Chiropodists Board and the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine. Provided the requirements of these bodies are met, we welcome Wessex regional health authority's proposal, in collaboration with La Sainte Union College, to establish a Wessex school of chiropody in Southampton.
