§ Baroness Faithfullasked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether there are any plans for Scotland's support funding as between the National Health Service and the local authority social work departments, to be brought up to the level of joint financing in England and Wales; and whether there is to be a Green Paper for Scotland comparable to the Green Paper Care in the Community, July 1981, which applies to resources for care in England.
The Earl of Mansfield: Her Majesty's Government hope to make some increase in the resources devoted to the support finance scheme in Scotland; the amount of these resources will be determined by the Govern- 431WA ment's assessment of what is appropriate to Scottish circumstances.
Consideration is being given to whether a comparable document to Care in the Community should be issued in Scotland.
